Wash Bay Instructions

Using the Wash Bay

  1. Drive to rear of building
  2. Park near door “10”
  3. Confirm Wash Bay is not being used
  4. Use Keypad left of the overhead door to enter Wash Bay Code provided with reservation text message
    1. Enter Code & press Enter button
  5. Garage door will open
  6. Enter Wash Bay. Be sure to clear the garage door sensors/threshold to allow the door to close.
  7. Garage door controls (open/close) are on the inside right of the door
  8. Wash Bay ceiling & wall light switches are located on the left wall near curtain/ man door
  9. CHECK-IN WALK THROUGH
    1. General check: work area, door, curtain, floor, lights, fan, tools & equipment appear to be in safe, operable condition
  10. Close pull curtain to isolate the wet area
  11. Operate equipment as suggested
  12. CHECK-OUT WALK THROUGH
    1. All equipment is returned to storage position
    2. General check: work area, door, curtain, floor, lights, fan, tools & equipment operate safely as directed

Operating Wash Bay Pressure Cleaner & Equipment

  1. Pressure Cleaner Set-Up
    1. Ensure incoming water line is connected to hose reel
    2. *NOTE- soap injection “tee” may be in-line, this is ok (see detergent directions)
  2. Ensure spray wand is connected to hose reel
  3. Check for appropriate nozzle selection (see wall graphic for nozzle options)
  4. Operating Hose Reel:
    1. Reel lock pin located on left side of the reel, pull to release
    2. brake/ free spin lever is on right side of reel- horizontal & vertical=free-spin, 45deg= friction brake
    3. Pull appropriate hose length- applied brake is advised to prevent free-spin
    4. Use rag to clean hose when reeling after use
  5. Pressure Cleaner Controls
    1. Locate the Grey/Green Control Box near hose reel
    2. Toggle “Pump” switch up to turn on (green light will illuminate)
    3. Toggle “Burner” switch up for hot water up to 180degF (green light will illuminate)
  6. Pressure Cleaner Spray Wand
    1. NOTE- ALWAYS POINT WAND IN A SAFE DIRECTION
  7. Hold lower grab handle & trigger handle
    1. NOTE- the wand swivels, two hands is always advised
  8. Squeeze trigger to engage high pressure water
  9. Lower grab handle adjusts wash pressure- CCW= lower, CW=higher
  10. Wash as desired
  11. Turn pump & burner off and pull trigger to release pressure when complete
  12. Return wand to hanger (handle down)
  13. Detergent/ Soap (provided in 55G drum)
    1. Turn off “Pump” & “Burner” toggles
    2. Squeeze wand trigger to release line pressure
    3. Disconnect supply line quick coupler on left side of reel
    4. Insert “Soap Injection TEE” to quick coupler
    5. Reconnect supply line to “Soap Injection TEE”
    6. Turn on “Pump” & “Burner” toggles- use warm water to apply detergent
    7. Twist grab handle CCW to allow low pressure detergent injection/ application (CW will stop detergent supply)
    8. Apply liberally to dirt
    9. Turn lower grab handle CW to stop detergent supply
    10. Wash clean (injection TEE CAN remain in-line while rinsing)
  14. Open garage door with Garage Door Controls
  15. Exit Wash Bay
  16. Close Wash Bay Garage Door by pressing “Enter”
